CTIA 2009 marks the announcement of u-blox as Azentek’s premiere provider of GPS receiver technology Thalwil, Switzerland and Reston, VA, USA – March 31, 2009 – u-blox, the leading Swiss provider of GPS technology, will supply Azentek, a manufacturer of innovative OEM in-vehicle computer systems for both consumer and commercial markets, with high-performance GPS receiver modules. These modules will provide navigation and location awareness in Azentek’s Atlas in-car personal computer, as well as for its sophisticated new SmartMirror device. The SmartMirror is on display this week at CTIA in the u-blox booth. Launched in August of 2008, the versatile OEM SmartMirror features integrated GPS navigation by Navigon, touch-screen map and menu display, audible turn-by-turn navigation, rearview video input, available backup camera, and Bluetooth® hands-free phone connectivity. Azentek is the first supplier to build a high-end touch screen GPS navigation into the rearview mirror. The SmartMirror provides added convenience and safety because it is permanently mounted to the windshield. Sales of the SmartMirror continue to grow and the product is now available in the U.S and world wide in over 35 countries. The next product to launch in the Azentek product line is the Atlas CPC-1200, which is a complete in-dash computer solution for the vehicle, putting the latest entertainment, business tools, GPS navigation, and automotive diagnostics capabilities at the user’s finger tips. The Atlas will be released Q3 2009 and will be available at 12-Volt retailers, major retailers across the U.S. and Crutchfield.
