Las Vegas, NV, January 7, 2007 – Azentek™, in collaboration with Microsoft™, is proud to announce four new in-car computing products for 2008.
As a follow-up to the highly-regarded Atlas CPC-1000 that was shown in 2007, the all-new Atlas CPC-1200 will debut with many added features, a custom Azentek user-interface, and European-designed cosmetics. Additionally, the Calypso CPC-1100 will be released as the first-ever 1-DIN “all-in-one” full Windows-based PC. They will both share the same feature-set and MSRP of $2,799. The Azentek system architecture is built on an Intel™ Core Duo processor and runs the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system featuring a very long list of computing and entertainment capabilities including voice recognition, CANbus integration, Bluetooth, AM/FM/Satellite/HD, CDRW/DVD/MP3/WMA, GPS navigation, built-in WIFI, and much more!
“We built the very first ‘all-in-one’ full functioning PC ever created for the automotive market and showed it at CES last year. With the intention of only releasing a 100% finished and flawless product, we never actually took it to market.” said Johnny Cooper, Azentek’s President & CEO. “After a full year of additional development, taking ideas and suggestions directly from our customers, we are back this year with a remarkably impressive new version that will begin shipping in March. Furthermore, establishing the fact that we have the best engineering in mobile electronics today, we have created a single-din ‘all-in-one’ model that is unlike anything the industry has ever seen.”
To complete Azentek’s 2008 line of in-car computers, two additional models have been made for the budget consumer. Coming in at $999 MSRP are the all-new Windows CE models: Venus CE-1200 (2-DIN) and Titan CE-1100 (1-DIN).
“We are excited to announce the Venus and Titan which are both full-fledged ‘Multimedia Navigation DVD Receivers’ that include features similar to a Pocket PC or Windows Smartphone.” commented Pete Muller, Marketing Manager for Azentek. “These two models take everything you’d expect to find in a typical touch-screen navigation head unit and add internet connectivity including e-mail and web browsing, business applications, as well as the ability to install almost any desired CE-based software.”
