Grand Blanc, MI -- Azentek, LLC. in collaboration with Microsoft™ and Intel™ today announced the release of the new Atlas™ CPC-1000 series in-vehicle computer system for 2007, featuring the all-new “ReadyDrive” hybrid hard drive, at this year’s Consumer Electronic Show (CES) January 8th – January 11th 2007 – North Hall Booth #6616. The ReadyDrive takes advantage of new hybrid hard disks with integrated flash memory to help improve performance, reliability, and vehicle battery-life.
The Atlas™ In-Vehicle Computer System incorporates Azentek’s heritage of mobile In-Vehicle computing (including the FordLink™ semi-ruggedized PC released in 2006). It also marks a new frontier for Azentek in 2007 with the launch of the first generation of true OEM radio replacement computing; utilizing automotive-grade components for a true radio replacement system for both the US and international markets.
The consumer market has expanded and requires people to be more productive while on the go. Azentek has responded by offering the new Atlas™ CPC-1000. The Atlas CPC-1000 empowers consumers by connecting them to the world. The new Atlas is a fully functional computer running the new Microsoft Windows Vista™ operating system. With built-in WiFi & BluetoothTM and open PC card slot for optional wireless broadband connectivity, the Atlas CPC-1000 allows for mobile access to the internet and other devices anytime and anywhere. The system allows consumers to spend the time they are in their vehicles more efficiently. The Atlas CPC-1000 provides a 6.5” touch screen to access in-vehicle features like turn-by-turn GPS Navigation, DVD and digital video, AM/FM/MP3/CD playback, the option of a satellite radio module from either XM or Sirius, and even HD Radio. The Atlas is capable of providing the driver with navigation, while displaying entertainment to other screens within the vehicle, all at the same time.
"We are very excited about the ReadyDrive and the capabilities it adds to the Atlas for storage and functionality” said Johnny Cooper, CEO of Azentek LLC. The Atlas CPC-1000 is designed to give users easy access to information, navigation and entertainment while on the go. Like all Azentek products, the Atlas CPC-1000 is exceptionally durable, easy to use and is competitively priced. Azentek not only built the Atlas to meet automotive standards, but sets a new level of performance by incorporating the full Microsoft Windows Vista™ operating system. The Atlas In-vehicle computers are the most comprehensive, all-in-one infotainment solutions available today, and will be available in 4th quarter 2007 through US and International dealers. ###
