Yeah I'm also anxious to see this product become available, though I have to admit the price is a bit steep. It will be very difficult to hit the Purchase button knowing I'm dropping over 2k on this thing.

One bad thing about the G4 though that swayed me from it immediately, was that it has no support for external audio - only an internal amp. The fact that the CPC had this support made it really shine in my eyes. Only other thing I'm hoping for is getting Roadrunner to work on it (fully) as that's my front-end of choice. I don't see this being an issue but I know people were complaining about the G4 not being able to use it very well.
