Yep! It has full Dolby Digital 5.1 pre-outs as well as a 4-channel amp built-in (50x4).

The plan is to officially release it at this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas (10/30-11/2).

So late October/Early November it should be available!

More questions! Can you provide some more info regarding specs - CPU, RAM, Disk, etc. Will the system customizable upon purchase? I was considering an Infill but may have to wait.....!

Yep - it can be fully customized.

Although the InFill is a very nice entry-level unit, our's is only a couple bucks more and is much higher-end.

New specs will be posted this week!

I plan on using the CPC-1000 in a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited(2007/8).

1. Do you know if your system will be compatible with the CANBUS in Chrysler's newer vehicles like the four door Wrangler?

2. Can you post pin-out/signal assignments for the CPC-1000's CANBUS input port?

3. Do you have any recommendations for cables, connectors, signal converters that I should look into to start planning this installation while keeping Chrysler's CANBUS operational without cutting OEM connectors?

4. Does satellite radio reception require external hardware?

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

You've got a very cool vehicle there! I love the new Wranglers.

I wish I had more information for you right now on the CANBUS interface but all I can say publicly is that it is still under development. You may be able to get a little more out of the tech guys if you were to call Azentek's offices at 810-694-4500 and ask for technical support.

To answer your satellite radio question, Yes - it will require additional hardware. The Sirius and XM tuners are optional accessories because we were unable to build them into the unit - we ran out of space!

If you have any other questions, let me know!

What about in a GM Enclave? I am wondering if this will have full functionallity still. My steering wheel controlls as well as onstar? Also when you say you need an external box for the XM will the radio control the XM so I can hide the feature?

Any idea when it will be available for purchase?

Ted

I have a GMC Acadia, which I think is the vehicle used in your web presentation. I assume it is fully compatible with the vehicle. Will it require a different wiring harness if I will have my standard (non-Bose) factory readio replaced with it? And as the above post, will onstar still work? Will Onstar text display be available? Thanks.
This sure is a product worth looking forward to.

Steering wheel controls and OnStar can still work after removing your factory radio, but you will need a separate part from one of the OEM integration companies (Peripheral, Blitzsafe, PIE, etc).

In order to install this unit in any vehicle, you will need a specific wire harness for your vehicle. These can be purchased from one of the many harness manufacturers out there (Metra, Scosche, etc).

Let me know if you have any other questions!

So my steering wheel controls and onstar would stil work with this radio after it is installed? Also bluetooth would work over the car mic and speakers?

Basically would it be as integrated as a factory radio ... I love this idea but im a sticker for the integration a factory unit gives.

Would it work with the XM that came with my GM?

When can i but it and from whom?

Yes - as long as you purchase the appropriate OEM interface adapter(s) from one of the integration companies out there.

Bluetooth is built-in to the Atlas so you will use that interface instead. There are two microphones on the front of the unit and it will work through your car's speakers.

It should not take away from any of the features you have from the factory. It should only add a ton of new features to your interior!

Would it work with the XM that came with my GM?
Probably not. You will most likely need to purchase a different XM tuner - but the antenna you already have should work.

We plan to begin shipping the unit in November on a limited basis for in-field beta testing and to fulfill pre-orders. The full launch is officially scheduled for January.

If you guys are looking for anymore beta testers, I would love to do some QA for you guys. I just got out of the video game software industry working on the QA side and I just picked up a new ride that I'm putting the works into. I'm about one of the most technical people you'll find and I can def provide some helpful feedback. Plus... I have done CES couple of times before for school and once for pleasure.

Let me know if your interested. If not... no worries... Looking forward to seeing the final product anyways.
