Linux on CPC-1000 - 2007/09/14 16:11
Heh, there are always those who live outside the mainstream. At any rate I wiped the virus known as Windows off and am now running Linux (Ubuntu).

Linux works just fine, but it's just a matter of finding the drivers and tweaking things to work.

1. Does this thing have 2 display controllers?

2. Is the DVI output on the back just digital?
The DVI to VGA adapter I have won't work.

3. What is the touchscreen make and model? This
is so I can load the correct Xorg driver and
configure it.

4. I had to find the Broadcom firmware, but still
can't connect to an AP with WPA.

Let's see how long it takes somebody to respond to this.

Keep waiting....I believe the overall hold up is to wait for Microsoft to make the leap to not selling XP anymore (July?), as there will be no XP drivers for its touchscreen.
